Glens Falls hung a five-spot in the first inning and never trailed Wednesday at the Robert Smith Sports Complex, holding off a furious Boonville rally to win 10-8. The Dragons led 9-0 through five before the Lumberjacks pushed seven across in the sixth, but Glens Falls answered with an insurance run in the ninth to close it out. The win, built on ten walks drawn against just eight hits, improved the Dragons to 10-18.

David Yorke did the early damage, driving in four runs on his lone hit to power the first-inning outburst. Rene Vega set the table from the top, going 2-for-3 with two runs, an RBI and a walk, while Billy Barthel added two hits and a run and Shane Hoover reached with a run scored. Glens Falls wore out Boonville's staff, coaxing six walks off starter Iain Farber (L) in just three innings. The Lumberjacks nearly stole it in the sixth: Will Hill drove in three, Noah Reed went 3-for-4, and Masai Marshall added two hits and an RBI to cut a nine-run hole down to two.

RJ Ensel earned the win despite a bumpy line — 5.2 innings, seven strikeouts. Tyler Weygard bridged 2.1 innings with three strikeouts, and Dominick Weidtman worked a scoreless ninth for the save. The Dragons stay on the road Thursday to face the Saugerties Stallions.
