Gabriel Rivera did almost all of it himself. The Amsterdam slugger launched two three-run homers and drove in eight, leading the Mohawks to an 18-3 rout of the Dragons on Thursday at Shuttleworth Park. Glens Falls fell behind 4-0 before recording an out and never recovered, falling to 5-8. Amsterdam piled up four home runs and batted around in three different innings against a Dragons staff that surrendered 20 hits.

Rivera set the tone with a 3-RBI shot in the first and added another in the fourth, sandwiching a sacrifice fly and an RBI single for his eight-RBI night. Tyler Figueroa chipped in a solo homer, an RBI double, and a sac fly, while Brian Carrothers capped the scoring with a two-run blast in the sixth. The Dragons' lone bright spot was Tyler Worth, who went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer to left-center in the fifth. David Yorke drew a bases-loaded walk in the third for the first Glens Falls run, and the offense managed just four hits despite working ten walks.

Anders Lowkes took the loss, charged with seven runs over two innings, and Derek Diaz was tagged for eight more across two frames. The Dragons return home Friday to host the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs at East Field.
