See all of Smoke’s reports →Glens Falls hung three runs on the board in the first inning and then went quiet for six, and the Oneonta Outlaws climbed all the way back for a 10-4 win at East Field on Monday. Oneonta piled up 14 hits, snapped a 3-3 tie with a five-run fifth, and tacked on single runs in the seventh and ninth. The loss dropped the Dragons to 13-23.
Chaz Wright carried the Outlaws, going 3-for-3 with five RBI on a sacrifice fly, a two-run single, a bases-loaded walk and another run-scoring knock in the seventh. Daniel Tome III added three hits and scored twice, Augie Maslo collected two hits and crossed the plate three times, and Matthew Mayer doubled home a run and scored two. The Dragons did all their early damage in the first: Taye Robinson singled in Alex Mravlia, Billy Barthel grounded out for a run, and Anthony Lino singled home Robinson for a 3-0 lead. Mravlia and Giorgio Pantepinto each finished 2-for-4, and Jack Rigabar's eighth-inning sacrifice fly accounted for the final Glens Falls run.
Zachary Rowe earned the win with five innings of relief, allowing one unearned run on four hits with six strikeouts. Tyler Weygard took the loss for the Dragons, charged with seven runs in 1.2 innings. Kyle Fives struck out three over 2.1 frames. Glens Falls travels to Amsterdam to face the Mohawks on Tuesday.
